Cancellation policy

Generally free cancellation is possible up to 6 days before arrival. If you have to cancel later please contact us directly.

Wireless (Bellevue Guest) is free of charge for our guests. Please ask for the password at reception.

Ski and boot storage in the village centre

You can store your skis and boots in the storage of the Intersport shop CENTRAL SPORT over night (next to the Männlichen cable car). We offer you this service.

Room reservation and paying

You can make your booking by phone, email, fax or post.
We will send you our offer or confirmation by email, fax or letter. You can also book on-line if you have no special requests. As a guarantee we need your home address and credit card number. We do not ask for pre-payment.

Luggage transfer

Arrival: With our yellow, environment-friendly electric vehicle we will pick up your luggage from the Wengen station. Give us a call from the platform in Lauterbrunnen or Wengen (there is a pay-free phone at the hotel reservation board). Or just tell us your arrival time in advance.

Departure: We can check in your luggage at Wengen station to the airport or to the final destination (airport), depending on the airline. We can also get your boarding card with some airlines.

Guests with allergies

Please tell us your special needs in your room or in the Restaurant.


You can rent toboggans/sleds from us. Either go sledding in the surrounding area or take the train or gondola up and have a long descent. Depending on the snow conditions, you can also sled down to Lauterbrunnen.


Why do we have no television in our guest rooms?

We would like you to relax during your holiday and to make the most out of your stay with us, escaping from your everyday routine, enjoying the natural surroundings, as well as some of the finest views in Wengen, relaxing in our whirlpool or participating in the activity programme of Wengen tourism. There is a wealth of possibilities - you will be astonished! Get away from it all! However, if  you would like to watch TV the television in our public TV room next to the front desk is to your disposal.

Is there a shuttle from the hotel to the slopes?

No, because Wengen is a virtually traffic free resort and locals as well as guests appreciate the peace and the quiet resulting from this – almost like 129 years ago. For your convenience you can deposit your skis/snowboard and boots at the sports shop next to the cable car/train station in the centre of Wengen. This service is free of charge for our guests.

Why does the water pressure and temperature in my room vary from time to time?

As our hotel is over 100 years old, the water System can be overloaded in peak-periods due to increasing water consumption. This sometimes means that the water pressure drops down while lots of guests are having a shower or using water, for example in the evening. Unfortunately, due to the age of the hotel this is something which we are unable to change.

Is the food good at the Bellevue?

Yes, it is excellent! We recommend tasting our 5 course dinner (alternatively 3 courses out of 5) at least once. Our cuisine is international and offers a wide range of flavours. We attach great importance to seasonal and fresh products of highest quality. Therefore in summer lots of the vegetables and herbs have been grown in our own garden. If you have specific dietary requirements we are happy to cook special meals for you on request (e.g. vegetarian, gluten-free, lactose-free etc.)

Can we pic nic at the Bellevue?

We serve breakfast, dinner and small dishes for lunch. We have a big selection of beverage and serve it at the bar, in the restaurant, on the terrace and in all lounges.

We would appreciate, if you do not bring your own food and drinks to the pubic area to eat or drink it there.

Our rooms are not equiped for selfcatering and there is no kitchen, microwave or fridge for public use.

Are there any soft-boiled/scrambled/sunny side up eggs available at breakfast?

You can boil your egg by yourself to your own taste. Scrambled/sunny side up eggs and omelettes can be ordered with the waiting staff (extra charge).

Is the hotel Bellevue accessible to disabled guests?

Guests must be able to manage stairs both at the Hotel entrance and to the rooms.

Why are there no iron/ironing-board and no kettle in my room?

Our hotel is built of wood so, due to safety reasons (fire danger) we can’t offer these facilities in our guest rooms.

You can order drinks at the front desk from early morning until late evening and also take them up to your room. Our chambermaids will wash and iron your laundry. Just leave the laundry bag on your bed in the morning and 24 hours later you will receive it back.
